Effortlessly stylish - are you? How?

There’s a mum at a toddler group I go to. She’s lovely; not a critical post at all. But I am envious of her style. She has mid length dark hair, always glossy and not frizzy yet not styled either, just sort of hangs right. Her clothes are simple but always just fit well and suit her. (Being slim helps I guess.)

She has two children and both are always immaculate as well. Her DD has the same shiny hair in a French braid or neat pony tail. My Dds hair is crazy - it’s not long enough to style so hangs there. And my DS is always a mess!

Any tips? I fear I'm effortlessly scruffy!

Can't say I am effortlessly stylish but a few suggestions:

  1. Buy clothes that fit well regardless of your size.
  2. Go through your clothes and get rid of anything you wouldn't want someone you really admire to see you in.
  3. Capsule wardrobe for easy selection
  4. Minimize hair and cosmetic products so that you can quickly get ready each morning. Spend some time figuring out an easy go to hairstyle, even if it's just neatly pulled back. Use a nicer hair clip to elevate it.
  5. Simple jewelry, within easy reach
  6. Nice shoes and a nice bag really pull anything together, even jeans and a plain tee shirt. Again, minimize so you are only reaching for the nice stuff!

For DD's hair, would she wear a bow or headband?

I bet it isn't actually effortless though!😄
