I'm 45 and the last 5 years have been spent having and looking after my 2 and 4 year olds. I'm now finally starting to feel like myself again and realised most of my clothes, haircare and skincare are all pre-2019!

My skinny jeans are out of fashion, my cross body bag is on its last legs, my Origins skincare can't keep up with my exhausted 40 something skin, my curly shampoo and conditioner don't work on my thinner hair. I need a bit of an update and don't know where to start. What new thing in the last 5 years has really made a difference to you self care or fashion wise?

I'm 30 OP so unsure of recommendations would suit but I wear low rise jeans, mum / boyfriend jeans (also waist length), lots of colours, bold pink blazers, sun dresses in the summer (which are fab for hiding my bloat after I eat), loafer type shoes and bold coloured bags.

quite natural make up, I used a tinted moisturiser, brown mascara, blush over bronzer and a lip oil, the LO'real glowtion is lovely, gives a dewy skin finish but is still light and natural.

if you have lightest hair get yourself a half head of highlights or something just to freshen yourself up.
I have just come out of a long cancer battle with a 4 year old too, so I'm no expert but these things make me feel better. Also a gel polish on my nails and toenails too.

good luck!
