So I recently got my hair stripped and recoloured at a local salon which has a great reputation locally and would be on the higher end cost wise compared to other hairdressers in our town. It was expensive (for me) but id committed to the process to change my style completely so I was really looking forward to getting it done as a real treat.

My issue is that when it was stripped and that product rinsed out I don't think it was rinsed out well enough. So when dye was applied on top its come out really patchy. The hairdresser noticed it before applying the dye and just continued anyway which I thought was strange. I have a clear difference in colour between an inch or two at the roots which are darker and the lengths which are lighter, and there are streaks throughout that are lighter as well as just uneven patches of lighter colour on the lengths. I was there for over 5 hrs getting it done and I understand stripping is very hard on it but I've had it done before years ago and my hair was still an even colour afterwards- is this normal? I'm going to leave it now anyway and put up with it to give it a break for a while because I don't want to damage it but I'm really wondering if I should go back to the same place again.

I would go back but I wouldn't give them any more money. I'd ask them to fix the mess they left.
