Cheap camis/vests without adjustable straps

Because I grew up in the 90s it is physically impossible for me to wear a top without wearing a vest/cami underneath it.
Plus I've somewhat big breasts so clothes can be a bit "booby" without them.
I need some new ones on a budget. But I cant stand the ones with the adjustable straps. The plastic really irritates my skin.
I don't mind wide straps.
I never wear them as tops by themselves.
So where can I buy pretty camis/vests in various colours without adjustable straps but that are budget friendly?

Look at the set on next

Primark have these in.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 12/05/2025 06:29

Primark and Peacocks are my go to places for these.

Yes to Primark, also Uniqlo if you want vests for warmth.

M&S have loads of cotton fitted cami tops without adjustable straps, they are in the underwear section. I generally get them in white and back but they do loads of different colours. They are low enough to not show even in pretty low cut tops.

Uniqlo also do sweat wicking airsim ones that are great for hot days.

I also grew up in the 90s and always wear a fitted cami under tops!

I am not a fan at all of Primark - but their basic vest tops do have adjustable straps and are very good. I got three or four about three years ago and they have washed well and kept their shape.

They don’t do the adjustable straps any longer on their vest tops.

Matalan have long and shorter (normal length) vest tops.. no adjustable straps.. had a few different colours when I was in last week..

ThirdStorm · 12/05/2025 08:25

Another vote for the Matalan ones, they do the ones with skinny non adjustable straps and thicker straps (my preference) and as the other user mentions different lengths plus all the usual colours.

Fab. Thank you.

Will look in Primark (closer) and if they don't have any, I'll go to Matalan.

Our Prinark is a mess and only seems to ever have one till open at a time so I avoid it unless I have a reason and Matalan is a trek.

I buy 3 packs in m&s , they are in the lingerie dept usually . Think they are about £10 .

Matalan have them, I was going to buy them for my DD but didn’t because they didn’t have the adjustable straps! We are short and straps are always too long

Goatblu · 12/05/2025 10:56

Matalan for me too. I bought quite a few last year in various lengths and they've washed and worn really well.
