I’ve been invited to the above but don’t know what to wear. I don’t have a large budget for a dress I will never wear again.

Would love to buy from Vinted but could be false economy if it doesn’t fit/look nice.

I’m 5’4” size 8, athletic rather than shapely

Can anyone help?
Ideally I’d like to spend under £70

Which enclosure - have you been given a dress code (esp re headwear). I’d advise low/flat shoes as a starter. Don’t discount Vinted - you can pick up lovely dresses for £10 and under even brand new with tags. You can wear and resell. Charity shops also a good bet for dress and hat / fascinator too

Royal Enclosure has very strict rules about size of headwear, straps/sleeves and length of skirt. Look these up before you buy anything - they will literally refuse you entry if your outfit does not comply

Look for eg Phase Eight, Monsoon, Oasis, Dancing Leopard dresses. Do you have a hat hire place nearby? Better than buying one

The only thing I have is a fascinator and seems that is not acceptable 🤦‍♀️

I see they recommend LK Bennett on the website. Also consider a dress hire service (but this may cost more than your £70 budget)

Amazing help thank you. Never occurred to me to look for named makes on Vinted. Am coming up with a few ideas

You can filter for brand new with tags and maximum price and colour(s) too

I second the hiring option. Really good places will also offer hats etc.
