Mascara bleeding and fine lines… help!

Ugh, I know it’s probably an issue with ageing but how do I stop my mascara transferring to my lower eyes? I’ve never had this problem until about a year ago, haven’t changed foundation or mascara or anything really (although maybe the mascara has changed formula?).

Also, obviously with age, I’ve developed fine lines under my eyes and crows feet, I find that makeup is now settling in them a bit.

For context, I’ve worn a full face of makeup up since I was 16. To this day I still wear a full beat as that is what I’m comfortable with. I’ve tried paring back the make up but it honestly takes longer, looks awful half way through the day and it just doesn’t look like me.

Any advice with how to deal with makeup and ageing eyes is appreciated!

Prime tubing mascara is designed for older women. They do eyeliners as well. I’ve used them for ages - the mascara really doesn’t budge once it’s on.

I’ve moved from foundation to CC cream. My favourite is Erborian. It doesn’t settle in lines at all.

I use tretinoin to address the fine lines, and have Botox for my crows’ feet and one droopy eyelid, but I appreciate you might not want to go that far.

Also, I bet you look lovely. We all notice our own flaws much more than other people would!
