What colour nails should I get?

I never get my nails done, but I am in a couple of weeks as going away on holidays and will not be doing any washing up for a while so they might last!! But what colour? I was thinking red, but is that very obvious?

also getting toes. Should they match?

I went for red at my last appointment and love them, they are short though which i think looks better with red! I would definitely get matching toes for your holiday

I’m liking pastel colours in this nice weather. I got a bright/vivid lilac recently which SOUNDS granny but was actually just really pretty and got so many comments.

Mine are lilac just now (gel polish) and I love them.

I like coral for holiday nails as it is a colour that goes well with a tan, and it looks good with a whole range of coloured clothes and jewellery. Yes to having your toes matching too.

I agree re coral. If your skin is darker a corally-red looks fab.

I love a deep pink or red. I tried to be bold a couple of weeks ago and got a blue color and HATED it. I ended up spending even more money to have them color removed and painted pink. Let us know what you decide!

I love white nails - they look very fresh and youthful. Not a great fan of red nails myself but go for it if you love them. I do my own nails all the time and never match fingers & toes

I’ve just had chrome shellac which goes with everything and is receiving lots of compliments.

I had sea blue with starfish last year for holidays.

I've got a watermelon pink at the moment, which I love - it's very summery.

I like to mix it up on my toes. I once did a sky blue on my fingers and a midnight blue on my toes, which looked great. Last summer I had a bright pink on my fingers and a bright green on my toes - I'd never have shade that on my fingers, but I think you can go really bold on toes!

I like lighter colours for the spring and summer and reds for the autumn and winter. It really depends on your skin tone. I’m really pale, even with a tan. Very pale colours look washed out on me. I’ve got a light bubblegum pink at the moment.

Thank you! Loving these suggestions. I’m quite tanned although fair skinned (reddish/blond hair and grey eyes). Was wondering about gold, is that a good choice? Or would it be naff to have red with one gold, like the ring finger?

I like a nude for holidays. I do my toes in something brighter, they’re orange rn, but I’m wishing I’d done them nude too.

@AlertCat I never get my nails done either but at the start of the year I became weirdly set on having some pastel nails in a French manicure style for my next summer holiday. Like the pic (once it loads) 🙂

I tend to go for a very dark red, like oxblood red. Looks great with a tan, classy and works with any colour outfit. Personally, I’m not a fan of the one nail a different colour, or nail art for that matter, but go with what you like - we’ve all got different styles

I always go back to this and mix up the colours occasionally
