Eeeek so I’ve done the consultation thing and I’m being sent 0.25 tret but I don’t really know what moisturiser to use?

Can I still use my Cereve HA moisturiser?

Also, the prescription says to not put it under your eyes. My crows feet and under eyes are my biggest issue!

Please can someone give me some tips on easing in and best moisturiser to use with it as I’m quite sensitive, so think I’ll need a layer on before the active.

thanks!

I use tret and I have used cerave afterwards, but any good moisturiser will do.

Thanks @Allseeingallknowing glad to know I can keep using the Cereve

I find Avene Cicalfate+ the best cream to use after tret.

What works for me is to put the tret on completely dry skin and wait a bit before moisturising.

I’ve had to stop using mine. I felt like I had skin peeling off and my face was so sore. Annoying as I didn’t cancel until another tube came though, now I have a tube I can’t use 🤦🏻‍♀️

You need to start slowly - there’s loads of advice in n MN if you search but do not apply it daily. Start once a week - if after a few weeks that’s fine then twice a week. It will take time to get to daily application and then time to move up to a higher strength. You are aiming not to damage your skin barrier.
the tretenoin travels in your skin so don’t apply it to your eye area for some months unless you want stinging, sore, peeling skin

Look at dr dray on YouTube - she has lots of info on using tretenoin
