Help! Discontinued perfume.

I will happily give a good price for any bottle of Neals Yard Rose perfume that’s left in anyone’s cupboard. I’ve bought what I can from eBay and Vinted and check regularly but the supplies seem to have finally come to an end.

I’m gutted beyond words. I’ve even contacted Neals Yard and it’s apparent too expensive to produce.

I’ve smelt every Rose perfume I can get my hands on and nothing comes close. It has a lovely botanical smell with no cloying sweetness. I’ve tried Liz Earle as she’s the only other brand that I can think of that does botanical fragrance and, I don’t like anything they have.

Please can you check your cupboards, relatives cupboards for my much loved scent. I’ve worn it for over 10 years and I have just the smallest of sprays left.

It's so frustrating when a loved perfume is discontinued. I've had a couple and trying to eke out those last few drops was painful. I hope you manage to find some

Argh sorry to hear that. I’ve used the frankincense version for years. It’s the one fragrance I wear that people compliment regularly. It was unavailable for ages and I feared they were discontinuing it but they brought it back.

My plan at the time was to blend a dupe myself. Could you give that a try?

It’s so annoying, these scents are sort of herbal and natural and not perfume-like so you might get lucky in a health food setting, like the Dr Hauschka kinds of places.

I had a look at Fragrantica to see if they listed the notes but it doesn’t seem to be there.

I can't see the full list of notes in Neal's Yard Remedies Pure Essence Eau de Parfum No.2 Rose but from the sound of it, it's a very natural fresh cut-rose sort of smell?
If so - you might like Rose Tonnerre by Frederic Malle which has cedar as a base note (like the Neal's Yard) and is a very dewy, earthy and realistic rose.

If no luck, have you looked at the rose fragrances at Penhaligons or Floris?

I also love this perfume and have a bottle that I will
now treat very carefully. I didn't realise it had been discontinued 😞 I love the slightly medicinal edge. It's not a simple pure rose at all.

Also I agree that 4160 Tuesdays do great rose perfumes. I think perhaps Court of Ravens might be the best match for the vibe of the Neal's Yard one.

I have just one final day (at a push) with my most treasured perfume.

my children can smell it on me after 8 hrs. I often get comments from random folk that they love it - most recently a lady working in a clothes store commented that it was natural and subtle. I’ve never had a perfume before that’s absolutely gelled with me and my ph levels on my skin.

Thank you - you’re absolutely right. Other perfumes makes my tongue itch and I hate the smells - it affects me for hours.

4160 Tuesdays Tempest Rose is fabulous.I don’t usually like rose perfumes but I love this.

Just gave that number a call and it doesn’t exist!!
