Where do you reckon the hem should be on a pair of culottes?

I fancy a pair for the summer but because I'm a short arse most seem to be ankle length on me.

I've got a couple of pairs of lightweight jersey cullottes for summer and I'm loving them. On me they come just below the widest part of my calves, but I wouldn't really care if they were a bit longer
