Belt for jeans

Looking for some advice from mumsnetters with better fashion sense than me please! I need a belt for a new pair of casual jeans I bought. I can’t remember that last time I owned a belt and am a bit clueless about what to buy? Any suggestions? TIA

M&S do good leather belts as do Uniqlo. Zara and Massimo Dutti are also good. If you prefer vegan leather aka plastic you'll find loads in places like Pull & Bear, Stradivarius etc. Decide what colour hardware suits your clothing eg silver or gold. Pick a colour strap ,tans and browns are usually more casual, black more formal. If you're wearing the belt with jeans pick a belt about an inch wide.

Or find your local charity shop and pick up a belt there.

I have a lovely brown leather one from fat face via Vinted

I like my belts to match the hardware on my jeans. I have a nice black & silver one from Mango but I also have a brown and gold Loewe one that looks nice with my blue jeans. It’s reversible so I wear the black side with trousers.

Vinted and charity shops are worth a try for cheap belts at a variety of prices.
