Looking for a party outfit...fancy a challenge?!

I really need help - DH has a milestone 40th birthday party coming up and I desperately need something to wear.

I'm 42, size 12-14 and looking for a cool and stylish outfit to wear. Been trawling all the websites and struggling to find anything in amongst all the flimsy summer dresses.

I hold all my weight around my tummy so need something that covers this area/isn't skintight bodycon.

I love colours and prints as much as I love a plain black outfit 🤣. Animal print, polka dots, stripes, bold colours - all fine.

My usual going out wear would be - a dress and doc martens, tapered jeans and heeled ankle boots or a jumpsuit. Love a jumpsuit but can't find anything I like anywhere! The party is probably more on the casual side of 'partywear' - not little dresses and strappy sandals. I'd like to be able to wear heeled ankle boots or doc martens if possible (or some alternative...).

Budget - up to £150

Where will the party be?

It will be in a venue specifically for the party - it's actually an old church that's been converted into a cool function room. There will be a bar, canapes, a DJ etc

Not sure if it would suit your shape/how you feel about your legs etc but I think a playsuit could be quite laid back dressed up?
