Please help. I'm utterly clueless!

My wardrobe currently consists of one pair of denim shorts that are too big, two baggy t-shirts, one half zip jumper and two pairs of jeans...one pair too big, the other too small. Apart from that I love in my running gear. That is honest not an exaggeration. Oh and one pair of trainers.

I have my own style (in my head!) but can't find any clothes that fit.
I'm 5ft 5, age 30, currently breastfeeding so have 32 GG breasts (30E before pregnancy). I have a short torso. Small waist. Just under 60kg with 6 or 7 still to lose.

Every top I wear hangs off my boobs and makes me look 10kg heavier than I am. I feel very uncomfortable wearing anything fitted on the top. All trousers seem to be too big around the waist. I cant wear anything high waisted. I find that blouses, shirts, jackets don't fasten over my boobs.

I keep buying things off vinted and it's hopeless. I have a size 8 pair of trousers that are way to tight so I bout some size 10 jeans and they are literally 2 sizes too big.

Ive always really struggled to dress my body. (Had an ED in the past to get rid of my curves - it's the only time I managed to wear normal clothes.)

I also have no idea what tops to wear in the summer as I am currently living in a sports bra.

Any advice welcome. I'm struggling big time at the moment!! Thank you 🤞🙌

I have the same problem re. tops just hanging off my chest - it’s so annoying and makes me feel like a tent! I started to wear the flexi fit wired minimiser bra’s from M&S (has to specifically be those ones, they have other minimiser styles) and they have helped me a lot.

Rather than buying stuff on Vinted, organise a day to go into the shops on your own, and start trying things on. You don’t have to buy anything, just make a note of the brand and how it fits.

Thank you so much! I've been looking for a decent bra for eternity. Will definitely give it a try.

Unfortunately shopping is practically impossible at the moment as Im a single mum with a 13 toddler attached to me 24/7.

There is a lot of info on body types on the net and on You tube. I recently got a fair number of bras from sellers on ebay and the people selling them sell M&S bras. I imagine they might be from a seconds place, but they are fine and i have found no fault. They fit nicely and were much cheaper than the original price. Could be worthwhile looking.

A lady recently posted on MN that for work she bought 5 tops, a few pairs of trousers and a skirt and felt she had enough choice as she wore a different top. Again there is plenty of info on the net about capsule wardrobes. You could order things from one of the online companies or a catalogue and you would be able to pay instalments if it helps.Vinted is worth a look as you could get inexpensive clothes as thinking about it I would not want you running up a debt.

OP I am short (not big busted though) and thought I'd struggle massively with high waisted stuff so I ordered a pair of jeans i really liked the look of from Temu - the fashion police will be arresting me as I type- (Shein do similar stuff) they were so cheap at £17 I had nothing to lose (yes environmentally they are bad etc etc) but I can live with that for now. Thought they'd be vile and I'd have to send them back and they were absolutely fantastic, look really expensive and fitted perfectly. The ones I actually bought are now sold out but here's a link to many similar pairs https://share.temu.com/42aHaXyTnRA
I've since tried a few clothing items from Temu - their yoga pants and gym stuff I find very cheap looking. Good luck with your search 🤞
