4 inch difference in length between size 16 and 18!!!

Bought some jeans from Next in a 16. They are 100% cotton and they were a bit snug and then when I washed them they wouldn’t do up 😂

I really liked the style so order the exact same jeans in size 18 and they are far too long. I compare and there is 4 inch difference in length! Even allowing for some shrinkage that’s massive!

Sadly I’ll have to take them back as even with trainers on, they drag on floor (I mean I actually stand on them).

There isn’t usuallly this much difference is there? Thee are both regular length.

I’d be taking them both back with receipts and telling Next what you’ve told us. Poor quality control. Prob the wrong labels seen on a 14 and an extra long leg Jean.

I’ve had this on the other end of the scale from next. A size 8 fits perfectly in the leg but is massively too wide on the waist and then a size 6 is floating above the ankle. It’s very annoying.

If the 18 fits in other ways you could take them up. It’s easy if you have a sewing machine, or. I many places do alterations eg dry cleaners. That would cost 10-15 pounds around me. It’s a twenty minute job…
just saying that if you like the jeans you can still have them

I think @RentalWoesNotFunis probably right, Next do different leg lengths in their jeans so it’s probably you’ve got long leg mislabelled as regular leg.

check the measurements on their website for those jeans, they should say what the regular inside leg is.

get them exchanged for a 18 regular or petite.
