Summer trousers

Can anyone offer some advice please. I'm mostly a leggings and long top type. I've looked in M&S etc for some summer trousers but they are either too wide, too much room around the hips and bum. I'm a size 14 btw.

Im looking for something that definitely is not leggings, light weight but a closer fit. I've really no idea of where to start so any input would be great.

Why don't you get some chinos? I like these slim fit as well. Easy enough to wear to be loose but not floppy, and look nice with a t-shirt or vest top.
