Starting a new job and need help with finding great work trousers or skirts. I’m size 14 and have chunky thighs and a belly. Extremely slim lower legs though. Any recommendations most welcome.

My previous role was quite casual and didn’t require smart/casual workwear as such, we could wear smart jeans alongside our work top with their logo. This role will require smarter trousers/skirts, no jeans allowed.

In the past I have worn work trousers and of course nothing fits now. Just tried on a few pairs that I held on to! Nope! Anything with thin fabric or a stretch and you can see my wobbly cellulite!

Any suggestions?

I’m 5’7 with long legs and a short body.

Wide leg trousers are you friend.

What's your waist like? Dresses with your lower leg/ankles out that fit and flare can work really well.

Wide leg trousers with a side stripe can be flattering with smart trainers and a jacket. M&S have some as do Mint Velvet like these

I do love these trousers and have a black pair with three different coloured stripes, white/hot pink and gold glitter. They are flattering but I’m wondering if this style would be too casual? I’ll have to wait and see what everyone else is wearing during those first few weeks.

My waist isn’t too bad, my boobs are a DD though so I have to watch the old neckline.

A couple of dresses might be a good option too. Footwear needs to be considered too 😅
