Looking for advice please about my engagement ring. We got engaged six weeks ago. The ring is white gold.
Last week I noticed a few surface scratches, the scratches are both on the flat part of the band and also on the band ridge, which is about 1mm wide.
I had a look on google and it says that white gold is a softer metal so small surface scratches are to be expected and can be polished out.
Today there’s a more prominent area that is more like a scrape. The scratches are not at the front of the ring.
Is this normal in such a short space of time please? I’ll speak to the jewellers but just thought I’d ask on here if anyone has had same with their ring?
