Top up teeth whitening gels

I can’t get back to my dentist and I would like to get some more gel for a top up.

I have the overnight whitening trays.

Can I get them without going to a dentist? I’m hoping for recommendations please!

Online, but make sure the ingredients are the same.

Could your dentist post them to you?

Ask your dentist

It is illegal to sell whitening gels in the UK , EU , NZ , Australia that contain enough of the active ingredients to whiten teeth.

So if you buy via the internet you are buying from criminals who are knowingly breaking the law and who , often , sell percentages that are so dangerous even dentists are not allowed to use them.

What guarantee do you have that the gels will be what they say they are and are safe to put inside one of the most sensitive parts of your body?

Ask your dentist for the safe, legal way to buy gels , you will need to be seen to check your mouth is healthy enough , but you only get one set of teeth and gums.

How do you do this when it is illegal to.sell this on line so you are buying from criminals knowingly breaking the law?

I got some online, no issues, but as an above poster said make sure it’s the same strength that you had before

No - I have the gel from my dentist. The poster said she couldn’t get it! There are different gels and strengths available online anyway which aren’t illegal, but they’re not usually as strong. Afaik you can’t buy Crest legally in the U.K., but that may have changed.

Edited

You cannot buy crest or any tooth whitening gel legally in U.K. , EU etc that has above 0.1% hydrogen peroxide . Whitening gels need to be many times this concentration to whiten teeth, anything at 0.1% will do nothing and any gel containing anything else will also do nothing except wear or dissolve away stain and enamel at the same time , but not whiten teeth.

This will be from a seller knowingly breaking the law , which came in for safety reasons.

If the seller is happy to be a criminal in selling this do you really know you have a legitimate gel when manufacturers will release to sellers who sell in U.K., EU etc? Do you know it is not counterfeit and what chemicals are used in it ? https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/dont-buy-teeth-whitening-products-from-online-marketplaces-agxQc7m2V4ow

Don't buy teeth whitening products from online marketplaces - Which?

Our tests found that 58% of teeth whiteners bought from AliExpress, Amazon, eBay and Wish contained illegal and dangerous levels of hydrogen peroxide

I moved 300 miles away from my dentist and they won’t post it without seeing me for a check up.

I need to start the process again with a new dentist and I just need a top up.

It is part of the legal and safety process that the dentist has to examine you first to make sure that it is safe to use the gels and that the trays are still a good fit etc . The laws regarding use of whitening were brought in because of the potential dangers of use of whitening solutions eg on precancerous lesions etc

You will need to see a dentist first before you can purchase top up gels from them.
