Anyone used the leg makeup with the large brush that’s all over SM?

No idea why it’s appearing on my SM but it looks v good and I’m sure no filters are involved… Does it work? Which brands are best?

I know the one you mean and I've considered it too. It looks great.

However, I'm recently burnt with SM trends after being sucked in and trying magnetic lashes (no eyeliner, they just clip on) - and they were utterly shit. So I'm extra cautious now!

SirChenjins · 20/04/2025 18:30

I’m the same - I got suckered in by the magnetic eyelashes (the eyeliner ones) and they were awful. Took me days to get the eyeliner off too. My gut instinct tells me this is likely to be rubbish too - but maybe it does work?!

Sally Hansen is a classic one, I also quite like Vita Liberata body blur.

You don't need a brush it makes very little difference

SirChenjins · 20/04/2025 19:06

Is that the Sally Hansen fake tan one? I’ve used that but it didn’t give my legs the cover I need for my thread veins.

I got the Vita Liberata one in a beauty box last year so decided to give it a go and
was really impressed. Easy to apply by just rubbing it in and made my legs look naturally tanned, whilst covering up marks/imperfections etc.
I left it for a few minutes to dry before getting dressed, but never found any transfer even when wearing a white dress.

I can answer your question as against my better judgement I bought this! The problem is the ads give the impression that it will add a lovely golden glow. Well it doesn’t! Mine is labelled ‘natural’ but there is nowhere on the website to select a colour. I’ve looked through the website several times and see that it is supposed to be reactive to your actual skin tone. I will say that it covers blemishes and evens out skin tone but I was hoping for golden legs but mine are still as white as the driven snow! 😢

@Fairyliz would you say this would cover, or reduce, marks on legs from old scab/scratch marks that are still quite noticeable?

SirChenjins · 21/04/2025 08:35

@AppleDumplingWithCustard which one did you buy? There seems to be quite a few doing the SM rounds. Also - do you think it would cover spider veins? And if you put fake tan on first, would it match to that?

@Fairyliz would the Vita one give enough coverage to hide spider veins do you think?

@Denbyday @SirChenjins
I wouldn’t say it completely covers marks, but it probably gives the same amount of coverage as say a full coverage foundation does on your face, if that makes sense.
Also as it gives a tanned effect on your legs which means there is less of a contrast than between pale legs and red blemishes.

SoftPillow · 21/04/2025 08:56

I use Sally Hansen and it works well. Spray on, rub in, looks natural, covers any marks and gives a nice colour, and doesn’t transfer.

It isn’t like a fake tan, it’s much lighter and a different consistency.

Mine is the Zephoco Supreme Cream which the ad linked directly to. I’ve just tested it on thread veins and a bruise and it covers well. I can’t imagine it would adjust to fake tan tbh as it’s very pale.

I have the gatineau. No brush required. Just slap it on. It’s great!

I’m pleased hear that as I have three tubes from advent calendars.
