Wedding headwear

Not been to a wedding for yonks and off to one in Aug. Wearing this dress, probs not a hat, but a fasinator, hair band?? Or all a bit naff?? I’m 45 and mid length dark hair. Ideas for shoes and a bag also welcome! Thanks all.

Can you just wear your hair up or in a loose chignon? I’m really not sure about that dress in August. The fabric will cling to you if it’s hot. If you want to wear a loose fitting dress then a cotton fabric is better.

ideally want to wear it down as I’m not great at an up do and sadly won’t have time for a hairdressing appointment on the morning.
The dress it actually quite cool as word it to an event last summer.

I'd probably go for an embellished headband.

Fascinators and hairbands are all a bit naff and I would style with chunky jewellery.

Tbh I’ve been to 2 weddings this year and it’s only really MOTB/G who wear hats/fascinators now.
