I’m Looking for a new basket bag but not sure which one to go for?!

There are so many basket bags out there now, but I’m not sure which one to go for? Loewe basket bags are so expensive, there must be some nice alternatives out there?!

Loewe baskets are no longer considered the “in” thing I’m told so you may be able to get a pre-loved one if you don’t care about that kind of thing ?

I have a Kate spade one I like and am ancient Ellie Tehari. Strath berry had some basket bags in there sale a few days ago.

what about one of the woven leather bags instead of straw - they seem to be having a moment. Try Verafied, dragon diffusion or bembien to have a look - I only have the verified one so can’t comment on the others.

Oh dear, I wasn't even in the market for a straw bag but I think now I might be. Those Henrietta Spencer ones are nice.

Baskets bags such as Loewe, Chloe, Celine and the like have become déclassé mostly due a combination of market saturation and so many fakes. They're also supremely cheap to make, so not worth the money either.

Unbranded is the way to go, always contemporary and so much more chic.

I’m also looking out for a straw tote bag as going to Paris in the summer… have visions of floating about in a summer dress, sandals and straw tote! But also want it to be lightweight and not easy access for pickpockets.

The Henrietta Spencer bags are lovely , I’ve got a Chelsea one and it has a zipped top which is great for security .

Yes I think a zipped top makes a big difference…
