40th birthday meal

On Saturday afternoon I'm going with my husband to a great friend's 40th. She has booked a table in a local pub (mid afternoon), and I've no idea what to wear! In the day time I'm usually in leggings and trainers, minimal make up, and at night in sparkly dresses (and trainers)

I'm a size 10-12, house of colour summer. No time to order anything as it's good Friday tomorrow 😖

Anybody have any suggestions please?

I would go with jeans, T-shirt, blazer and trainers if you are usually quite casual just elevate it. Good hair, painted nails etc.

Most shops are still open on Good Friday if you really need to go shopping.
Do you have a blazer to smarten up an outfit? As others suggested, jeans and a nice blouse with a blazer.

I'm definitely in favour of a quilted jacket rather than a blazer. Or a denim jacket (as long as it doesn't match your jeans) or a leather one?

You could wear a sparkly top if you already have them.
