Memory clothes

I did a massive clothes sort out today and even though they are threadbare/not today’s fashion/don’t fit there are some clothes I won’t part with.
These include:
A shirt I wore on my first date with my husband.
A top I wore on a long haul flight to meet friends in LA- the first big holiday I paid for myself and travelled independently (I thought I was the height of sophistication)
A loose blouse I wore which I looked lovely in after I had my first child and was still able to breast feed (random but happy memories…)

So am I the only weirdo? (I have my wedding dress too but figure that is not unusual).
If you also keep clothes for sentimental reasons- what are they?

A Vivienne Westwood jersey dress that I was wearing the night I fell in love with my husband.

A dress my mum made for me to wear in a dance competition when I was 7.

A Vivienne Westwood t-shirt that I was wearing when my husband and I got together properly.

The ASOS dress I wore when we got married.

A long white skirt I wore to death in university. The last time I wore it was the day of our last exam which was nearly 30 years ago. We had the biggest party ever. It rained and the floor in the student union was muddy. It stained the bottom of skirt and wouldnt wash out.

Weirdly enough I still have a white crochet baby dress made for me. Still fits over my head as it's stretchy, not the rest of it. I wouldn't dare go out like that though 😆

My mother's ballgown from 70s. White silk nightdress from friend who committed suicide this year.

Ooh and my father's camouflage jacket

A Boden blouse I bought after DS was born. It's never going to fit again, but I have such happy memories associated with it. I've saved it with the cub uniforms, a school jumper from each school etc, with the intention of making a throw/blanket from them.
