What style would you describe this wedding dress and does it look good? Helping friend with her choosing dresses, she is noticeably bigger than this person but likes it?

Satin, sweet heart neckline, could be sheath, a line, fit and flare, mermaid, slip or column silhouette. .

It looks like a petticoat. If I saw someone wearing it, I would initially think that they had forgotten to put their actual dress on, sorry.

generally satin is very clingy and that lingerie style rarely looks polished unless fully lined, not so form fitting, and on a certain body type.

Sorry but it looks homemade and unpolished. The outline of one’s bellybutton shouldn’t be visible through a wedding dress.

Looks like a nightie to me! And a VERY unforgiving one at that! Literally every spare ounce would be emphasised. Not a good look on I would say 99% of us mere mortal women 😬

with the vast array of necklines silhouettes and fabrics all brides have the opportunity to look stunning.
the bride in the photo has a lovely figure. and yes the dress shape has potential.
just the quality of the dress displayed in the photo looks poor.
