Jewellery Trends: What's the latest? I'm so out of touch

I barely ever buy jewellery for myself. I always keep it super simple with one or two minimalist necklaces. But I spotted someone on Instagram doing this layering thing, and I thought, I know! I'll ask the amazing MumsNetters whether that's still cool.

I love the paperclip necklaces. But am I a bit late to the party?

I don't know many designers or brands, either. Totally out of touch!

I like Tilly Sveeas style - it’s chunky but plain. I reckon gold is more in than silver atm - saw lots of it on people in London yesterday and I’m wearing it a lot more . I like wearing two necklaces and a matching chunky chain bracelet

Paper clip yeah slightly late to the party. Layered is still ok but not the big thing it was. Slightly chunkier is more on trend now but as I don’t like chunky necklaces I’m sticking to chunky earrings

if I don’t like a trend I just skip it or wear the bits I like.

It’s all bollocks anyway right? @springbringshope 🤣 I’m always late to the party. But… looking at Instagram… everyone wearing the same stuff. Makes me want to just do whatever I want. And not look like everyone else.

I was just looking at the gold plated necklaces on the Anthropologie website, as can’t afford the gold ones and not as nice as these but seems very pricey for gold plated which will probably discolour in no time as anyone had any from here?
