Demi Permanent Hair Dye

Does demi hair dye really wash out or fade?.
I am thinking of buying nice n easy no ammonia but i have heard it doesnt truly go it stains your hair until it grows out just like permanent dye?.
Any advice welcome.

I find the bleach London one washes out.

I've used loreal casting creme gloss, and that definitely isn't permanent. Although I do use a very similar colour to my natural hair.
