Everyday bra for the smaller chested (28D)

xsquared · 13/04/2025 23:07

I used to wear 32A, but after bra intervention circa 2014, I wore 28D from a limited number of brands like Panache Cleo or Mimi Holliday. Brands like Curvy Kate or Freya felt too full for my slight frame.

I'm looking to restock my bras, a s would like something similar to Panache Cleo Juna which is my favourite everyday bra. The only colour left in my size is the beige, but I'd like black.

Is Boux Avenue any good size wise? I'm looking at the following styles

And this one below.

No idea about boux avenue but I’m 28DD and I shop from the gossard outlet by they are true to size and some very pretty bras

pinkfloralcurtains · 14/04/2025 07:46

I’m not quite that small but was a 28DD pre kids and now a 30F, so know how hard it is to find a 28 back!

Cleo Juna is also my favourite bra. I also like Panache Cari spacer bra and some Chantelle bras (John Lewis). I’ve never tried Boux Avenue sorry!

Thank you both.

Youre right, 28 anything is hard to find and when you do find them, they're usually first bra type bras!

Often you can wear the sister size, so up one back size down one cup size. So 28D can often be swapped for a 30C

worth trying.

and panache do 28D

Iirc, I'm nominally a 28F but I wear a 30E as I don't like feeling cut in half. I found Boux Avenue useless with too much variation within sizes.

I know that Bravissimo say they're for the better-endowed, but I take my fairly insignificant norks in there and come out with bras that fit.

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 14/04/2025 08:27

I have found boux avenue consistent so I would recommend. The bras last a lot longer than my bravissimo ones too. I can pick up the same size in different sizes and they’ve all fit perfectly.

FlatWhiteOrLatte · 14/04/2025 13:15

I find the band size in boux avenue to run a bit smaller/shorter but they're good with returns. Pour moi are a similar brand but unfortunately only start from 30 band.

Thank you all. I shall give Boux Avenue a shot when I'm back from my trip away.

It's been a long while.since I've been bra shopping in an actual shop as options are so limited, and sizes vary so much from shop to shop and styles.
