Birkenstock v Scholl

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years, as I find them very helpful for my fallen arches.

They no longer do my favourite sandal, so I'm looking for alternatives.

How do the Birkenstock-style Scholls compare? Especially in terms of support and comfort.

Anyone?

Which style has gone?

Taormina. Haven't been able to find it for a couple of years. My exciting ones are on their last legs (ha ha).

Vinted or eBay?

I won't wear secondhand shoes. No problem with secondhand clothes, but shoes deform to the shape of your foot and your stride.

I’ve had some from eBay that are pretty much new, maybe worn a handful of times so footbed is unchanged - I wouldn’t buy some of the ones people try and sell!
