Foundation for oily skin

Any recommendations please for the best foundation for oily skin. In my 40s when I go out hate all the photos taken at the end of the night as I just have a shiny face.

You need a good primer and a mattifying setting spray.

@ToBeOrNotToBee I normally just use the mac primer spray. Do you know any that are better please?

Oily skin is probably making you look ten years younger! Maybe try a powder based foundation to even your tone.

Estee Lauder double wear. Nothing beats it. Apply in thin layers and build up.

I am also in my 40s with very oily skin. I love this foundation, the only one that doesn’t give me shiny skin. I also use Clinique anti-blemish toner after cleansing, then No7 serum and Avenue cleanance emulsion. That works for me.
In case the image is blocked, it’s Chanel ultra le teint velvet (black container)

I find Lily Lolo mineral foundation to be pretty good. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than many foundations I’ve tried. You can order samples on expensively online to try at home. I found that really handy, as it meant I could properly assess how the foundation performed and if it oxidised.

Double wear.

Another vote for Double Wear. I've tried other cheaper alternatives in the past because every time I have to re-buy DW I want to cry at the price (I also have to mix 2 different shades to get my perfect match, so double whammy on the price) but nothing compares in my opinion.

You can get colour matched at a DW counter and they will give you a generous sized sample to try it out in different lights. If you do decide to buy a full size bottle, wait until Boots have one of their premium 20% or 25% off offers (they do them quite frequently) and I would advise buying a pump for the bottle, so much easier!
