If you're in your 20s what did you last wear to a wedding?

Out of curiosity.

I've been invited to a much younger colleague's wedding in October. It's at a wedding venue in the countryside. I haven't been to a wedding in an age. Knowing the couple it's likely to be fun rather than very formal. I'm just wondering what to expect.

Round here those silk spaghetti strap dresses seem to be in, often with large oversized blazer and strappy sandals! Am 32 and went to the weddings of a few younger friends last year.

I’m an hourglass shape and need to wear a bra, I don’t follow suit, I’ve actually had loads of compliments on floral maxi dresses I’ve worn to the last couple of weddings- well cut to suit my shape.

Thank you for that.

I'm not wanting to imitate them. I have lots of restrictions on the footwear I can have and my choice will primarily be driven by that. I just don't have a clue as to what will be around me.

I wore a Needle & Thread dress.

Those are lovely dresses.

It seems choices are quite dressy. That's useful. Thank you.

Depends on the wedding- you don't want to look so smart that you could be part of the bridal party, or wear anything so glamorous that you upstage the bride. The best thing to do is to check the invite to see what the dress code is, then message the couple with a picture of the dress you plan to wear to check that it fits with their dress code.
