Snake chains

Hi

I’m considering getting a snake chain in 9ct gold. But I’ve heard they can be very high maintenance and easily kink, which is not repairable. This would be a waste of money if that happened.

I wouldn’t wear it whilst sleeping or working out. I’d like to wear it a few times a week in the day though.

Has anyone bought a snake chain? Is it high maintenance? Does it inevitably kink? Have you regretted it? Or have you worn one for years?

Would appreciate hearing others’ experiences.

I have a very fine one which I have worn since January and have never taken it off. I exercise, wash, and sleep in it. Haven’t had a kink so far!

Why don’t you get a plated one and see how it suits your lifestyle first. You can get a decent waterproof plated one for around £50-60.
