How many pairs of sunglasses do you own?

Last year I bought a fun, oversized green pair from Oliver Bonas. Then DH bought me some metal framed ones from Ray Ban. This year I’ve bought some purple/tortoiseshell ones from Vision Express & I’m getting another green pair from Oliver Bonas for my birthday.

Saw another pair I liked today & DH commented that I already had too many (he doesn’t even know about the birthday ones!). I want aaaallll the sunglasses. Different sizes, colours, shapes.

Tell me I’m not alone!

2 pairs, I’ve had one delightful pair from Gucci for 17 years. I can’t remember how much I paid for each, around £250. I don’t like the cheap tat for £10-£20, I don’t see the point.

Two. My favourites I keep for the garden (old prescription so can't use for driving) have a red frame and brown lenses which give everything a rosy glow and make me feel so happy (DH calls them my rose tinted glasses). The others are smart tortoiseshell and gold but have lost a little sparkly bit from one arm so really need to get a new pair.

Either way I think most people with multiple pairs of sunglasses aren't dropping £500 plus per pair on prescription ones regardless of age to match certain outfits. I could be wrong though.

Two. One regular one prescription. I probably have a couple more somewhere in my house.

I have four pairs, a Dior pair that I bought on honeymoon and hardly wear now as worried DC will get hold of them and another cheaper pair DS2 did get hold of and they are now bent so I can’t wear them! I’d like a black pair this year and there’s a pair of tortoiseshell Ray Bans I’ve been lusting after for a couple of years now so this year might be the year I treat myself to those!

Just the one pair. They were about £15 a few years ago. Quite scratched up now so I may have to replace them one of these days

I want to get some kind of storage unit which I can keep near the front door displaying all my sunglasses. That way I can pick a new pair depending on what I fancy

@Chickydoo I had an Oakley pair years ago & loved them. Not sure where they are now.

Glasses? Maybe 8 😂 I have a different set of glasses depending on what outfit I’m wearing

I see them as a finishing off accessory too just like jewellery or a bag. I absolutely hate squinting so I wear glasses all year round, always have a pair on me.

I think my Ray Bans are a bit big for me & need to be resized. My Vision Express ones had to be tightened a lot (took several attempts) & they have highlighted how lose my others are. Need to remember to take them with me the next time I’m going past a Sunglasses Hut.

1 good pair of Tom Ford sunglasses DH bought me on holiday 2 years ago and about 5 cheap fashion ones in various colours and shapes

About 15 pairs, most of which are Mykita (in various colours / styles). And a couple of pairs of Oakleys (with changeable lenses) for cycling / rowing.

Only 2! One that live in the car and one in the house. I tend to always go for the same style that suits my face - maybe I’m boring!

Maybe about 10 pairs - none of them expensive as I am terrible for losing them.

Got a couple of nice pairs last year from New Look that were a fiver and are great.

Had a posh pair years ago and lost them and was devastated so cheapos in quantity best for me now.

4 pairs but plan on buying more. Currently have Tiffany, saint laurent, celine, ands prada. The prada ones are quite scratched though

One, but also have reactalight lenses in my glasses.

2 pairs of Gucci aviator sunglasses in different colours. Had them for a few years and they go with all outfits and quite classic shapes

1 pair of oversized Polaroids from Boots which I keep in the car and which fit over my driving glasses.

1 pair Ted Baker

1 pair Ray Ban Erika (polarised)

1 pair Serengeti Mara (polarised) which are my workhorse sunglasses and which I would replace straightaway if necessary.

1 pair Armani which look cool but not great as sunglasses.

1 pair Tiffany which are just beautiful 😍 and look as if they were made for me.

Oh and a couple of pairs of "ready reader" bi-focals for holidays.

Two. The new ones are prescription, so I don't wear the old ones any more.

Popped into Vision Express today & got my Ray Bans tightened & moulded so they fit much better now (wonky ears 😆). They were so helpful!

Can’t find my oversized green ones so just the two in rotation at the moment until my birthday in a few months. I’d really like a pinkish pair…

Maybe just one or two is enough?

They are mostly plastic tat which will never biodegrade.

I have never counted, but probably about 20. Some very inexpensive and some ‘designer’

I have 3 . One Tiffany , one polarised.
one reading sunglasses .

I have another pair I want , Nine West , but not sure I can justify so hoping this thread will justify the expense .
