Cardigan patterned like a carpet

Hi,

I wondered if I could ask whether you know the right name for a style of cardigan that I like, so I could search for it online?

I used to play in a community orchestra and all the ladies in the clarinet section seemed to wear cardigans that were made of quite heavy fabric with a very strong pattern.

The cardigans tended to go right down to the thigh, and were quite spacious but not floppy. They sort of almost looked like they would stand up even without the person inside them as they were quite stiff. It really looked as though the women were wearing a cardigan that was made of carpet.

I have looked online to find things like this, but I can't seem to find anything. I just wondered if anybody might know what I need to search for to find this kind of thing?
