Sk:n- anyone used them?

I have an obvious age spot on my face and another area of pigmentation now developing. I grew up in the tropics but for the last 25 years have had an excellent skincare routine and wear factor 50 everyday throughout the year.
I have tried Skin+me (Tret and niacinamide), potent vitamin C daily for a long time and this has not helped the pigmentation. I finally cracked and asked to meet a Sk:n “practitioner” for advice today.
I paid for a consultation and these were the things that worried me:

  1. she did not take my makeup off to look at my skin
  2. she asked what the issues were but didn’t examine me
  3. When I said I was using tret she asked how I had come by it and had never heard of Skin + Me
  4. She then told me I needed a series of products by Epionce coming to circa £200 (including what looked like a simple foaming cleanser and moisturiser)
  5. These would be needed to be used for 2 months and only then would I need a series of 4 chemical peels and they wouldn’t do this unless these products were used first. I explained I already use a Roche Possay cleanser and moisturiser- but they aren’t good enough apparently
It all seemed a very hard sell and the total comes to nearly £1000! I left with several worries- the main being it was just a sales gimmick. I have decided to go and see a qualified cosmetic dermatologist but thought I would ask for other experiences?

I used them for laser hair removal last year and wasn’t overly impressed. Appointments were late, staff didn’t seem engaged, results not that great and really expensive (I got a Black Friday deal so cost was greatly-reduced, would have been gutted if I’d paid fulL price). Didn’t get to have my final treatment as they then went bust. All in all I wouldn’t recommend.

Thanks- I agree that I am likely to give them a wide berth. Seems a scam.
