Any tips for pre-teen boys skin/cleaning routines

Just that really - DS is early stages of puberty and I’d like to start him off on the right path. He washes using water and a face cloth and Aveeno Kids for hair and showering. He probably needs deodorant now the weather is warming up and he’s getting the old small spot. Any tips on good products? I don’t want anything too harsh and would prefer to avoid sprays like Lynx as hate smells in house (myself and DH use roll on deodorants both Nivia brand but not sure if good for preteen). Also how is he best to wash his face to minimise spots? Any daily face suncreams recs as he burns easily? TIA

Washing using a bar of soap is supposedly better for getting properly clean, my Ds used dove or Nivea roll on to begin with, he washed his face with soap and glory fast wash, it’s not scented, I have a dd 2 years older and she used it so he just used it too, I still use it now, it cleared up his skin brilliantly when he got back acne overnight.

sun cream, still working on it and Ds is a Scottish ginger, I only buy factor 50, it does work, he just avoids wearing it and as he’s almost 20 I can’t force him!
