I need some new everyday knickers

Please help! I have so many pairs of knickers, collected over many years - few of which fit or are comfortable.

I want black - although a couple of pairs of nude for the rare occasion I will wear a lighter coloured dress or skirt. High leg, NOT shorts. Size 14. Not a thong - but don't mind a brazil cut.

Must have a decent width gusset and not gather up in the middle

Oh, and I spend a lot of time wearing gym leggings so as little VPL as possible.

Have already looked on M & S - none seem to get great reviews.

I’ve just bought some knickers from Oddballs. Im wearing a pair now and find them v comfy, though a bit pricey

I love my sloggi knickers but not sure if they tick all the boxes-like VPL.

If you can deal with the long shipping times Shein is surprisingly good quality for the price. Just check the reviews as some are worse than others. I exclusively wear thongs when I wear underwear but they have all different types

don't bother with M&S anymore. They're like tissue paper. I've had holes appearing after just 8 weeks in the last packs I bought

I can’t abide anything with a pattern, for some reason they make me feel sick with their tweeness. I wear M&S low rise shorts (nothing ‘short’ like about them). I buy the 5 packs in black and a few nudes. So comfortable and flattering.

J Lewis own brand are good- the plain ones- 95% cotton. I gave up on Marks ages ago because the gussets were too small!

My favourites are M&S cotton Brazilians. I buy a size up. They are usually available on 3 for £12.

I know you said not M&S but I just bought the high waisted Brazilian knickers from their body range & I really like them. Very comfy & I like the lace. I think they come in black, nude & a blush pink. I bought a size up.

TU from Sainsburys, bought 10 pairs last month cos they were half price

My favourite knickers are Sainsbury's high leg. They wash well and keep their shape. They have packs of black, nude and bright coloured mixed.

Yes, I bought a pack of Tu ones ages ago in desperation and have bought three packs since. The quality is much better than m& s. I buy midi, I think. They are just a standard knicker shape, not sold as high leg but they are on the higher side.

I have a pair of plain back BHS ones from at leat 25 years ago. They have moved with me and black pants over several houses but always survive the binning of wornout pants. They are too small now but I keep them to feel bitter about how shite the quality of basic clothing has become.
