What are you wearing out tonight and where are you going?

I'm going to the local rockabilly club so it will involve a lot of dancing (rock and roll, swing jive). Still undecided on what dress to wear and if my heels will survive my new DM mary Jane's.

Going to a gig. Baggy jeans, DMs and band tee for me.

Singing in my funk disco band at a pub...black dress, back heals, gold makeup and accessories

Going out for early dinner - flared jeans, dark grey silk cami top, army green suede trench, tan suede slouch heeled boots and tan dumpling clutch.

Short skirt, black transparent top, tights, heels. Can’t believe women used to turn 40 and think they had to start dressing so frumpily 😆

I know! I'm 40 and I'm more confident in what I wear now than ever.

Sadly I am off to my job in the supermarket and will be wearing distressingly unpleasant uniform and the world's ugliest shoes. Think of me...

Same! I have more confidence now and love how I look. I don’t relate to any of the posts about feeling invisible after 40, I feel more visible than ever.

Just to the local pub, wearing a bright red short play suit and vans high tops. Also nearly 40 and going no shits 🥰.

I'm only going to my sofa this evening (rocking a plaid PJ, fleecy dressing gown, fluffy socks look).

If I were going out to a pub/low-key restaurant, I'd wear my black skinny jeans with my black suede, heeled ankle boots. I'd pair that with one of my many cream tops and one of my fabulous vintage embroidered jackets from Monsoon. Red nail varnish and lippy with white gold and silver jewellery. Two squirts of Coco Mademoiselle and I'd be done!

We're popping in to some al fresco birthday drinks on a barge bar and then will get some dinner somewhere, I'm aiming for outside but with heaters.

I think it'll be a blue gingham a line skirt and either a baggy black t shirt or light wash blue denim shirt (French tucked because I've yet to leave 2022), probably my black birks and a tan suede jacket. I'm hoping a few glasses of wine will keep me from feeling the breeze.

@Shetlands I’ll also be at home on my PJs with my 8 month old twins, but if I were going out I have a gorgeous new dark red dress and also my faithful black new look heels that I’ve owned for about 15 years 😂

We've been for a stroll along the beach front, I was in a black and white linen dress. Later I'll meet a friend for an early dinner in a casual restaurant. Outfit TBD, undecided as the temp will drop but it's so nice out right now, it's hard to square those two realities!

If we go out (pub and causal dinner) I'll wear a black jersey tube dress with a shirt over it and platform high top Converse. To be honest though. I think I might just have a bath and stay in with my book, in which case I'll be in my nightie!

I'm in tonight but did go out into Leeds to a party last night and I wore black wide trousers, a black waistcoat, Nike dunks (cream/beige) and silver and gold jewellery.

Oh, and I'm 48 and rock this outfit (I tell myself anyway!) 😁

I’m four days postpartum and I’ve headed to the kitchen for a date with my husband. I’m wearing my nicest PJs and a very cute accessory. Undies are not my finest.

Cannot wait to be reunited with my proper wardrobe soon!

Going out is but a distant memory for me sadly. I never really go out anymore. Too skint, too knackered.

I ended up wearing a black mini high neck disturbia dress with black velvet Dms.
I've got a social dance tonight and am wearing a grey satin lace trimmed 90s style below the knee skirt, Cyndi Lauper tour t-shirt (she was amazing) with black socks with a leopard print frill and my cord Nike airs.
