I need to invest in my skin a bit more. At the moment I use an Oat Cleanser and moisturiser

I Have previously used retinol in the evening and Vit C in the morning but that was a while ago

Ideally I am after pretty easy skin care that will make my skin look all glowy and hydrated

any ideas?

I am signed up to Klira. They supply tretinoin and other skin actives tailored to your skin type. My skin is smooth and glowy. It’s a simple routine with basic cleansers and moisturiser with the treatment every evening

Sunday Riley Afterglow moisturiser is nice. It's brightening and gives a glow.

Good Genes from the same brand is also very good. It's an exfoliating serum that you use 1-2 times per week on an evening and it really helps avoid dull skin.

It's quite an expensive brand but QVC often do offers. A minis kit like this one is good way try them out.

For hydration I'd check out some hydrating toners/essences. A lot of the K Beauty ones are good.

These are a couple of my favourites. I usually purchase from Korean sites because it's cheaper but I've linked some UK retailers for ease. Also check out TKMaxx if you have one nearby because they have a lot of K Beauty at cheaper prices.

I’m in my 60s and have tried numerous brands and ranges from expensive to everyday high street ones over the last decades. A dermatologist friend got me into pharmaceutical grade active ingredients years ago and I’ve never looked back. In my opinion you don’t need to spend a fortune on products, nor have too many steps. Keep it simple and effective! I’d recommend a straightforward inexpensive cleanser morning and night (such as Squalane Cleanser from The Ordinary). In the morning follow this with a few drops of Hyaluronic Acid serum on damp skin for immediate glow and surface level hydration. Follow with more moisturiser to suit your skin type and then SPF30 minimum (every single day) - this can be as a stand alone or as a tinted day cream. I like Trinny London BFF cream which protects and gives a hint of colour.
In the evenings, remove make up with a gentle cleanser (such as above) and a clean flannel soaked in fairly warm water. Once the skin is totally dry, apply a customised formula made to work with your specific skin issues and goals in mind. My daughters and I all use Monderma and find it to be excellent. Skin and Me do something similar but I haven’t used them. This is a monthly subscription service delivered to your door and means you don’t need to waste time and money trying over the counter products manufactured for the masses (ie not specific to your very particular needs). After the Monderma you can add a little more moisturiser if necessary. Over weeks and months your skin glow results will be so much better.

Thank you all! I had seen Skin and Me actually and they have an offer on right now for the first month at 3.99

I definitely want something that isn’t laborious and takes loads of time, I’m lazy 😂
