Moisturiser with high SPF

user2848502016 · 03/04/2025 10:36

Looking for recommendations please? I like to wear a moisturiser with added SPF daily through spring/summer.
I am fair skinned so prefer SPF 30+, SPF 15 isn’t enough.
40s with dry fairly sensitive skin

You are really best to buy a separate SPF as you won’t be using enough product with a combined moisturiser with spf to get the full protection.

I do use separate when I know I’m going to be out in the sun for a significant period of time, this is more for daily use when I prefer the ease of just using one product

I like the Amber Solaire face serum 50 Spf. Feels light. I use every day in the summer here or when in a sunnier country.

I've been using CeraVe facial moisturising lotion for everyday, onto my third tube now, suits my late forties skin.

Clarins has a UV shield for everyday use that's SPF 50.

I use the Cerave spf 50 moisturiser all year round and really like it- I add spf on top if going out in the sun as I’m very sun sensitive, and no matter the light levels from now on, and use La Roche Posay or Ultra Violette for that as daily spf. I’m loving the new mineral Violette spf as it’s so light, and mineral based does give me broader spectrum protection which I need

I find a lot of the spfs pil once layered on top of a serum and moisturiser, including the Clarins one. Paula’s Choice is great and doesn’t pil. Maybe ask for samples of a few before buying to check this doesn’t happen (I don’t wear foundation, this is purely from adding spf to my serum and moisturiser)

I like the Murad and Medik8 ones. I wouldn’t bother with anything under 50spf and remember you need to reapply.

I use Boots no 7 Future Renew SPF 50.

It is light and non greasy.

I have been maintaining my routine for quite sometime with La roche posay's spf after some research with that and will share here if that provides any help:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
LRP spf
Evening:
Cerave moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel
