First time salongoer at 34

Just got a little extra pay and thinking of treating myself to a beauty treatment (brows/facial). Never been before. I’m 34, not particularly pretty, am I going to feel like a twat amongst a roomful of beautiful younglings?

I'm 66 and have regular facials..it's heaven.
Treat yourself.
All ages in the salon l use.
Gosh you're younger than my 40 year old daughter and she goes.

Not at all. People of all ages go to salons.
Unless you've picked a very trendy one that's particularly aimed at young people it'll likely be women older than you as they are the ones with disposable income!

If you’re thinking of getting your brows tinted, you’ll need a patch test beforehand. think it’s usually min of 48 hours before your treatment.

That aside- go for it! At 42, I’m a regular salon-goer and love it. If you’re a bit apprehensive, maybe start with something that’s very “visible” like a brow shape and tint, or a manicure? That way, you’ll see the results every time you look in the mirror/at your hands.

I love a facial but find my skin can sometimes break out a little bit after and it takes a few days to really see the results.

And you won’t feel like a twat. Depending on your treatment, it’s likely just going to be you and the therapist in a room. Beauty therapists are amongst some of the best people I know- usually very kind, and chatty. Really good at putting people at ease and giving terrific advice.
