Viral sandals?

What is this years pair of viral sandals. I need a pair to wear with dresses skirts and cropped trews. Last year I had Birkenstock but need new ones this year. Any suggestions?

I'm probably a sandal luddite, but given that our summer's aren't usually very warm I tend to wear the same couple of pairs of sandals for many years.

Do people really discard last year's sandals for a new pair every year.

@RampantIvyoh Jeez no I wear them to death! I tend to find a pair and wear them all day every day. So lat years cream patent sandals are cracked and dirty.

Will need a new pair and wondered is there a break away viral sandals of the year.

I was wondering the same! I’ve had Birkenstocks the last few years, but mine have gone mouldy and rusty over the winter, so I need something new and can’t decide what. Maybe more Birkenstocks as they are so comfy, but I don’t want to get them and find everyone else has moved on (tragic as that sounds for a 47 year old woman!!!).

I'll be wearing my Dr Marten sandals again this year - and next year too most likely. I have a pair of FitFlop sandals for going out out, and that's about it for my sandal options. Wear ones that you like and are comfortable - life is too short for uncomfortable shoes

Can’t you just find a pair you like? You’re allowed to have your own opinions and not just have what people on Instagram who’ve been paid to make something go ‘viral’ say you should be wearing.

I know where you're coming from. It's a question of what will we all be wearing to look current. I'm keen to know and decide if I'll go with or ignore. Uggs as outdoor shoes - no thanks , for example

I wouldn’t know viral sandals if they smacked me in the face 😳 were cream patent sandals in fashion? They sound dreadful 😬.

I’ve bought some sandals from Zara, one pair are a lovely lace up the leg job with beige/blue ombré fabric, another pair are black chunky sole with what I would call ‘sport’ straps! Across toe and ankle. I think one cute pair and one practical comfy to walk in pair is best recipe! I still think chunky sandal Dr Martens will be everywhere again and also I think plain flip flops will have a moment again - I might get some Havianas this year!

I had heard that classic toe thong flip flops were meant to be back this yea. There seem to be a lot of woven styles, and some with a kind of slingback with crossover round the big toe.

I’ve got Havianas for the beach, but I really dislike flip flops as every day wear.

I’ve just bought some Tevas for holiday wear too.

I’ve seen a few thong sandals with the kitten heel on their way back so maybe a rally against the chunky Dr Marten’s of the previous few years. I’ve also seen clogs and jelly shoes mentioned though so it might well be a wear what you want year!

I don’t recall Birkenstock being viral or particularly current last year so they wouldn’t look out of step this summer if you want to rebuy. They’re a fairly fashion neutral shoe these days.

Seriously, you need to step away from instagram, tiktok, or wherever you’re getting this language. If you mean Which sandals do you think will be popular this year? then those words are quite easy to write.

On Birkenstocks, these are a classic and in my view not ever really in or out. There are always loads of dupes in a similar style too.

Maybe because the last couple of summers haven't really been sandals weather for a lot of us? I find trainers too hot and uncomfortable in hot weather.

My brand new sandals only got worn a handful of times last year, and most of the days I wore them was on holiday in Greece.

Sandals with gold detail & thin straps are very current eg Emme Parsons style. I had my eye on a Zara pair but they sold out before I had a chance to get them. Stupid of me as I knew they would sell quick.

Things don't tend to be seen on everyone until they are bit old if that makes sense.

In general less chunk & gladiators coming back as the whole boho thing is back

trainer have dominated for years now but shoes are starting to come back a bit b
