Anti redness moisturiser

Is there such a thing as an anti redness moisturiser that isn't tinted?

I got the Eborian CC Red Correct but it's too much coverage for my liking, even if I dilute it with moisturiser. I'd like to try a moisturiser that has some green colour correction for redness without any tint. Any suggestions?

La Roche Posay has one that's as you describe - it's not going to get rid of deep redness, but it does mute it a little, in a surprisingly effective way. I don't like wearing foundation or anything similar, but enjoy this. www.laroche-posay.co.uk/en_GB/toleriane-rosaliac-ar-concentrate-for-dry-redness-prone-skin/LRP_932.html

@whyamisuddenlygettingolder thank you, I'll give that one a try.

Cetaphil do an anti redness one in their “ Pro” range.

Boots No7 do one in their DermaSolutions range. It’s a rosacea treatment serum (it’s not a runny serum) that counters redness, spider veins and dry skin. Not a quick fix but it does work

Thanks both, I'll check those out as well.

Dr Jart Cicapair tiger grass colour correcting treatment is excellent.

Thanks everyone, I've got several on my list to try now.

My advice would be get a tester first because it made me look as yellow as a Simpson!

Lily Lolo do a powder called Blush Away which is excellent.

I use this too and you only need the TINIEST bit and blend it out. You can put on more and have basically a fuller coverage foundation, but I usually just dot and blend with my finger and it looks so natural.

I use BB cream in the lightest shade, there’s one that is green to correct redness. I have a red chin so I use it there and really notice the difference

Did LRP's Rosaliac AR Intense Serum ever re-appear, does anyone know?

Yes, I found it much too orangey for my pale skin too.

I use this it’s amazing ! I wear quiet sheer makeup and it works well x

superstar63 · 01/04/2025 09:20

Does this just help with Roseacea type redness or would it work with thread veins that cause redness too please?

QueenKong101 · 01/04/2025 09:22

Second this! I wear Altruist anti-redness daily after being recommended it by an NHS dermatologist for quite severe melasma about 5 years ago. It's really good and gives a nice even tone without being too heavy. A friend of mine has had good results with it too for covering her rosacea.

Decisionsdecisions1 · 01/04/2025 09:41

Altruist is an excellent brand - also recommended by my consultant dermatologist - however I've found it doesn't match non-caucasian skin tones very well (neither do La Roche Posy, No 7 or Dr Jart unfortunately). It looks weirdly ashy.

I use Eucerin Anti Redness cream to calm down the redness then my usual foundation mixed with (unpigmented) Altruist moisturiser.
And Altruist sun cream underneath.

Oh btw anyone suffering with Roseacea azelaic acid is excellent for skin redness I get mine from Paula’s choice it’s been a game changer for me x

mrsmarylebone · 01/04/2025 12:40

Completely agree re azelaic acid! The Paula's Choice one has been fantastic and works on all redness for me, been the only thing that cleared up perioral dematitis.

I bought this yesterday in an actual Boots shop. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂 At the till it rang up about 10% cheaper than the ticket price, was part of a 3 for 2 offer so I got some other stuff too, and I remembered to have my advantage card on me. A rare positive experience in Boots, tbh.

Will give it a trial and report back.

I have areas of hyperpigmentation not rosacea but Give Me Cosmetics azaleic acid and their tinted colour correct primer work well, but you do need a separate moisturiser too.
I've find the range really good value and effective. My skin feels lovely now.

I brought the Roselique, but found it did nothing, has anyone else had this, it just didn't cover anything .it's supposed to turn a skin colour but mine just stayed white.
