What top to wear with this skirt- wedding guest

I’ve bought this skirt to wear to a wedding this summer (church/country house type wedding).

Now I really need to find a top and accessories to go with it. Everything I like is either white or cream so that doesn’t work for a wedding- I really need ideas!

I’m mid 30s, size 8, 5’7 with small/medium boobs (but have recently stopped breastfeeding so I need something I can wear a bra with!)

I agree the linen waistcoat would look great. You’re quite limited by the colour unless you’re willing to go for an eclectic look.

Yes, it really is a beautiful skirt but tricky indeed. Could as easily veer into bridal/bridesmaidy as into ballerina.

Loads you could do! The skirt is beautiful but the colour is essentially a neutral - here’s some ideas with red (if you’re feeling bold/depending on your feelings on red to a wedding), navy or a khaki/olive/bottle green depending on your skin tone. Butter yellow is also in a lot of shops right now, which would be adorable, or a dusky mauve. these are all examples from my wardrobe so are camis, but I think other shapes like a relaxed blouse or slightly oversized shirt could also look very chic (+ breastfeeding friendly). Let me know if any of these look good for you and can send any details or find something.

I think with the skirt you could go sateen or matte, depending how you feel most comfortable. Shoes are just random ones I have in my wardrobe, but I think you could have a lot of fun with this if you didn’t want to go the matching pink route (which also looks great but is covered here already).

Also breastfeeding which means I have time during feeds to make collages hahah! I find it helps me see what I already have and “try” unexpected combinations - you never know what you might find! Some other combinations like grey or brown/beige if you’re more of a neutrals fan, just using random tops I found! I think charcoal grey could be stunning.

Have you considered metallics? I would try a light silver maybe. Historically, (therefore likely outdated) I would pair light grey with light pink, hence thinking silver.

This green bodysuit from Karen Millen would look lovely with the pink I think- then white accessories would work.

I actually wore almost this exact skirt to a wedding when I was still BF. I did in fact wear it with white, as it’s not an all-over white look. Didn’t even consider that tbf, maybe I should have! I wore a white breastfeeding vest with a crochet white top over it, looked nice I thought.
