I have a shameful obsession. I probably wear them 85% of the time. I mostly buy from Marks & Spencer or Next but where are your favorites from? I prefer crew necks to hoodies, and a pocket is a bonus.

I want to try a different brand because I usually only get a few seasons from them before they get shabby. I feel like it’s an item that should last longer than that! Thank you x

Following with interest as my cotton M&S ones don’t last at all. They are soon faded and scruffy and only fit to wear for gardening or decorating.

ThatWillBeAll · 30/03/2025 09:34

My best quality sweatshirt by miles is Superdry. They do do plain ones. You have to take a torch to go in to their shops though.

I’ve got a decent one from Hush too surprisingly as the quality of their stuff is often poor.

Eden Ashram.
Uniqlo.
Dandy Star.
Sweaty Betty.

That said, my favourite ever is from Primark. Had it ages, and it’s still like new!

evilharpy · 30/03/2025 11:16

I have some from Eden Ashram that are lovely and have lasted really well. One old one from Levis will probably outlive me but no idea if the quality is still the same. Hush and Sweaty Betty have both gone bobbly although the Hush ones have been easily shaved off with a bobble shaver and looked fine again, no fading.

Finisterre! Well my husband gets from there and they are great, I assume the ladies ones are as well.

FatLarrysBanned · 30/03/2025 11:19

Sainsbury's Tu ones are my go to. Have had a few of them over the last couple of years and no complaints, wash well, keep their shape and some nice designs.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/03/2025 11:22

I like Cos for sweatshirts, but also have a very good men’s one from Arket that I got on Vinted - it’s grey, really heavyweight, and in a small is a perfect fit on me. (UK 10/12)

DisneyHag · 30/03/2025 12:44

I adored the shape of the Earth sweatshirts from YMC. (Even though they didn’t hold their colour well when laundered.) They’ve moved on to new shapes now, though I’d still trust their design instincts.

Community Clothing do the loveliest colours in wonderful 100% cotton, and their ethics make them more attractive than most other brands.

I agree, SuperDry is excellent quality.

Sezane also often has some interesting sweatshirts.

Oh tons of ideas there, I’m going to start with the physical stores nearby before I go to online shopping. Thanks everyone x

I love a sweatshirt! I’m wearing my favourite sage green one from H&M today. I don’t like them to be too thick though, or be fluffy inside as it makes me too hot.

PoppyBaxter · 30/03/2025 13:30

Uniqlo. They're so thick. Really good quality for the price.

Attictroll · 30/03/2025 14:10

I am wearing my fav green H&M one today too… I like their variety of slogans and colours

sunshinechaser · 30/03/2025 14:23

I love Varley sweatshirts. Really soft.

uncomfortablydumb60 · 30/03/2025 14:36

Superdry.. The Orange label are brilliant quality
Crew clothing used to be good but not sure what they’re like now.

luckylavender · 30/03/2025 16:43

I love a sweatshirt. Never wear jumpers. I love Boden the best. Agree M&S quality is poor. I have one from M&Co I've had for ages & always get compliments on it.

Found my people. If anyone knows any brands that do raglan sleeves that would be the ultimate!

I’ve had good ones from Gap, Monki, Adidas.

RavenT · 30/03/2025 20:49

Rapanui cotton waffle sweatshirts

Bessica · 30/03/2025 21:00

Goose and Gander do some lovely ones

I actually got a nice raglan one in Asda that says Portobello on it in a peach colour a few years back.

TheChosenTwo · 30/03/2025 22:18

I’ve got back into Levi’s sweatshirts recently, warm, thick and wash well. I Only buy the ones with the tiny/discreet logo though, I hate anything with very obvious branding/slogans/logos!

tobee · 31/03/2025 02:54

My best ones have been from

Whistles
Superdry
Eleven Loves

ShadesOfPemberley · 31/03/2025 09:17

Im with you 100% OP, I love a sweatshirt!

Would also love any reccs for raglan sleeve ones that people have found.

I had a great one from Uniqlo from years back that has finally been consigned to the recycling as the colour just washes me out now. Washed and wore so well tho.
