Hydrating and nourishing facial serum for aging skin please?

I think I was likely depressed over the past two years approx. I was functional and there's still something fragile there. I was neglecting myself but over the past few weeks I am taking an interest in skincare and applying a little bit of makeup most days.

Before that I would have been lucky if I washed my face once a week during my depressive episode.

I am using a facial cleanser and since last week I added in a facial cleanser with a probiotic in it. I am using some face masks about twice a week.

After washing my face I like to use a serum followed by a mositurer.

For a little bit of makeup during the day I use a tinted mositurer with some browsing drops. I don't know if what I am doing is right or wrong. I might follow more makeup and skincare artists online.

I am following a skincare and makeup artist online and he said that he used to get Botox but her stopped about 18 months ago. When he stopped he was afraid that his face would sag but he started using a serum by Clarins. I think it's a double serum. He loves it and recommends it.

I checked the price of it and no way am I willing to pay that kind of money for a face serum.

So does anyone have any recommendations for a face serum please. I will need one to be very hydrating and nourishing.

I am in my 40s so I have aging skin. I have some redness and dryness too.

Any recommendations who to follow about skincare and makeup - just light application for makeup.

Thank you,
From someone who will hopefully climb out of depression.

It's expensive but Advanced Night Repair.
It's the business.

Cheap and effective I'm enjoying Give Me Cosmetics skincare. The Hyaluronic Acid Serum is great. Their mystery bundles are great value and every single item I've used has been effective. Currently using their niacinamide serum and azaleic acid cream with their day and night creams and have my best skin ever.

The Lacura serum from Aldi is a good budget option. Feels nice on the skin. Give it a go.
