Nail Polish recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a good polish that keeps nails strong and doesn't chip. The primark essence range is actually the best I've found so far, but I'm wondering if the higher end brands are worth the money?
Also, is it possible to do salon standard gels at home? Any recommendations for kits etc or are they just not worth it? I'd love to have nails that last a couple of weeks and protect the nail too.
Am I looking for a miracle?

People always think I get my nails done, but I don’t. I use Essie and Sally Hansen’s double duty as both a base and a top coat.

My nails last around 10 days, and I only re-do them because of growth at the bottom.

Ooh brilliant just what I'm looking for, I'll order now. Thanks.

Barry M Gelly Polish range with the Plumpy Topcoat. Lasts me up to ten days and looks great.
I prefer it to Chanel and Nailberry.

I get mine done professionally but top up with Nailberry or Essie. I’m absolute rubbish at painting them myself.

Lily and fox nail wraps are great they last me about 2 weeks and allow my nails to grow much longer.

Also really look after them!! My nails on my right hand, which is dominant, always looks worse than my left. Try wearing gloves when doing washing up, clearing up etc. I've even worn latex gloves when hair washing.

Oh and apply the polish and other coats giving yourself plenty of time; not too thick coats etc.
