What to wear with a work polo shirt in summer?

The polo shirts are only men's fit so very boxy plus I'm tall with boobs.
I don't have to wear it but I'm trying to budget and save money on work clothes plus it is reassuring to customers to see the branding.
In winter I'm fine as can cover with jacket.
Would prefer trousers as driving a lot, walking and visiting people's houses, needs to be cool!

I'm 5'9" a size 14/16 and inside leg length at least 33". Cropped is fine but needs to be in proportion to leg length or I just look weird!

Any ideas really gratefully received to stop me looking like a hot rectangle.

The polo shirt is navy, no restrictions on colours I can wear just need to look smart. (Yet they have given us men's polo shirts!)

Denim shorts?

Linen trousers or linen cropped trousers. Lovely light and airy and can go for black or beige colours to go with the navy polo.

Cotton traders have got loads of 33 inch length trousers, if its for work you should find something on there, all my work trousers are from there.

re the denim shorts comment, it depends on the nature of the work, right? lots of walking/driving etc. could be any number of jobs. Smart shorts do exist though.

Needs to be smart, though the male polo shirt issue is a problem.
I'm actually quite confused as I'm supposed to be "smart" but apart from lanyards there's no actual requirement.

I think a cropped trouser can work (not necessarily white)
These skirts look nice with polos.
If they are men's can you size down to make them more fitted?

I'd take them to a local dry cleaners that offers an alteration service (most do) and get them alter them to give a more flattering fit. I volunteering at a pilgrimage sometimes and the uniform polo shirts swamp me and make me look like a barrel. I'm not sure what the lady did but it cost £8 a shirt and now my waist is nicely defined but the shirt is still loose enough for movement.

I would wear with these M&S trousers, plus have the polo shirt altered as previous poster suggested. You could also buy your own ‘ uniform top ‘ if you don’t want to wear the polo shirt as they can be hot in summer.

What kind of work do you do?

My job is a mix of office/field/driving/construction site. I wear "tidy" walking trousers a lot. I like the Craghopper Kiwi Pro ll style here - Long leg is 33" and the cropped version in summer.
