Dupes for these shoes?

I have taken in love with these Esska shoes but they will not stay on my heel when I walk no matter how tight the strap is. You can see in the pic how much they are lifting up.

I really want a closed toe, high heel, 70s style shoe in metallic. And ideally not leather.

Any ideas where to look? I'm gutted these won't stay on my feet!

Have you tried the heel grip things you can stick to the back of the shoe?

No because I'm going to send them back. They are £165 so I'm not prepared to keep them and start trying heel grips in case it doesn't work and I'm left with an expensive pair of shoes I can't wear.

@Trovindia I think shoes are one of the few things you can't buy on-line. I often try a 5, maybe a 4.5 and 5.5 in the same style. Often I might do that across half a dozen styles to find a comfy fit.

That shoe has taken me back to my teenage years in the 70s. Love it.

Try an invisible gel half-insole, slip a heelgrip in without sticking in down and see how they feel. I bet you that would do it - they're just a touch too big for you.

They aren't too big, there's no room at the front, it's the design of the back that's the problem. But yes I'll give those a go and see if it helps.

I know, it's hard. They only do online though.

Ah, the part around the heel is just too big/wide. That's an unusual fault; I don't think I've ever had that with a pair of shoes! They look lovely quality, OP - I hope you get to keep them.

Monsoon had some good dupes of esska sandals. One of the specialist plus size retailers did too, it might have been simply B.
