Trainers.

Jeans. Majority of mine are from Tesco or Sainsburys.

BebbanburgIsMine · 27/03/2025 19:02

I don’t care about any labels, my clothes are from Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Vinted.

I just wear the clothes I like, not bothered if it’s fashionable or not.

Flyboyblue · 27/03/2025 19:03

I don't care about labels on any item of clothing.

LauderSyme · 27/03/2025 19:07

All of them! Except maybe bras but I'm not sure they count as fashion items.

Iloveeverycat · 27/03/2025 19:11

Never cared about brands. Don't think I have ever bought any I am 60.

Shufflebumnessie · 27/03/2025 19:12

If I like it, & it suits me/makes me feel good, I don't care where it's from. At the moment most of my purchases come from Vinted!

RaraRachael · 27/03/2025 19:15

I have no interest in fashion or brands. I buy stuff that I like and that suits me.

MulberryPeony · 27/03/2025 19:25

Probably jeans. I tend to stick with a brand that fits right.

PinkDreamer · 27/03/2025 21:04

Hate it when S&B threads attract a bunch of “I don’t care about fashion” posters 🙄

For me it’s jeans as I hardly wear them (but still own a pair)

LunaNorth · 27/03/2025 21:12

I’ll wear T-shirts and dresses from anywhere.

Jumpers, jeans and shoes (inc trainers) I’m a bit fussier about.

bigkahunaburger · 27/03/2025 21:14

I will only wear Levis jeans and shoes - converse or Dms or gazelles
Everything else is mostly shein/m&s or whatever.

Overhaul54 · 27/03/2025 21:15

None
Wouldn’t buy a direct fake of anything though.
Same with food. I’ll try any brand.

It upbringing though. Taught that labels were just that. Clearly true of sizing…

LadyKenya · 27/03/2025 21:15

I am not interested in names. I am interested in my clothes being made of natural fibres though.

Comefromaway · 27/03/2025 21:24

I used to not care but recently I’ve had lots of clothes that were really nice when bought 2-3 years ago go really bobbly and out of shape.

all my clothes used to come from Debenhams, Asda & Sainsbury’s. I’ve got a 15 year old Debenhams cardigan that’s still great. But my Sainsbury’s one from two years ago is awful & bobbly. My Asda dress is still going after 12 years but their t shirts are now paper thin. My Sainsbury’s trousers faded. But my Sainsbury’s t shirts are now is lovely.

So I care about brands for all items, I want things to last at least 10 years, fit me well & natural fabrics if possible.

Ineedanewsofa · 27/03/2025 21:31

I do care about brands but mainly in the context of knowing X item from X brand fits me well so I’ll go back to that brand when I need to replace.
I am fussier about shoes and trainers as I want to buy things that are actually comfortable and supportive to walk in (#oldlady) so wouldn’t buy ‘fashion shoes’ from Primark for example

This exactly why I like Sainsburys and Tesco jeans. Especially Sainsburys. They fit me far better than any of the brands I tend to wear, and they last really well. I love All Saints and have lots of their clothes but their jeans just don't work for me.

Supersimkin7 · 27/03/2025 21:36

I’m a brand snob cos the alternative is plastic clothes. Still check
labels tho.

abracadabra1980 · 27/03/2025 21:40

Any of them. I'm quite good at mixing the good with the cheap though!

Dustmylemonlies · 27/03/2025 21:43

I don't care at all about brands. I never saw the point in paying £30 more for a hoodie just because it had a Nike swoosh on it.

I am trying to avoid fast fashion so consciously steer clear of brands like ASOS and SHEIN and go for fairly timeless/classic styles that I can wear for years...bretons, classic plain tees and cotton shirts, parka coats etc. I buy a lot of stuff from Vinted.

Doggymummar · 27/03/2025 21:53

I like natural fibres and wool. But Im not a label Mabel. I love slow and sustainable fashion, Preloved all the way. Except today in the JL sale I got two pairs of pjs 70% off from their own range, good cotton sustainability at the fore. I sell my old ones on Vinted but I don't think I could buy any myself.

I was actually surprised at how comfy some of Primarks 'fashion' shoes actually are. I have a pair of chunky brogues from there that I could walk for days in. Look like they will last a good long while too (unlike their trainers which seem to fall apart quite quickly).

I am snobby about not buying some brands, mainly fast fashion things like Shein, ASOS or Temu. Although I love abit of Primark and sometimes find the odd thing in Poundland too.
TBH I can't afford posh brands but luckily as they tend to specialize in natural animal products and I'm vegan I have a good excuse not to spend my money!😁

Mistyglade · 27/03/2025 22:18

none of them, never have.

Minnie798 · 27/03/2025 22:31

Im not interested in brands for most things. The exception is footwear and jackets/ coats.

Deathraystare · 01/04/2025 13:47

I remember two girls at a bus stop taking the piss about what I was wearing - a sweatshirt and pants - like theirs but without someone else's name written al over them!

What they are wearing was hardly Haute Couture and was still mass produced which is why I don't bother with labels.

loropianalover · 01/04/2025 13:50

I agree with PP’s who said jeans. Finding the perfect pair would mean more to me than any label!
