It is partly genetic I think but it has never been this bad, it’s purple! I’m starting to think it might be allergies or if I need some kind of strong serum.

If anyone has a solution let me know.

You're not using Revitalash or a similar eye lash serum with prostaglandins, are you? This is exactly what Revitalash did to me.

No I’m using the Ordinary Retinoid 2% Emulsion, Vitamin C serum. SPF sun block.

Taking Holland and Barrett hair skin and nails, Omega 3 fish oils.

Kumkumadi oil. Someone recommended it to me for a different reason, but after a few months I noticed my dark circles had all but disappeared.

It might be the photo but tbf I don't think the dark circles look too bad or unusually dark. You have beautiful skin too, I'm jealous.

Thank you, but they are darker than they have been.

Mine disappeared when I stopped drinking alcohol.

Your skin is lovely, though.

the Questions I shouldn’t ask, do you drink enough water and get enough sleep? Do you look at screens a lot? Not much help but if the under eye area ever gets really sensitive or sore I’d recommend cerave eye cream, it’s so soothing but does nothing for black circles

SheridansPortSalut · 26/03/2025 06:09

Diet coke, alcohol or excessive sugar all do this to me. As does any kind of sinus issue.

I think the solution isn't going to be anything external, like a serum.

I gave up most dairy and all gluten for an unrelated reason, and my dark circles improved noticeably. I wasn’t expecting it at all. Worth considering if you have an intolerance.

I’d also look at your skin and make up routines, eg could it be a cleanser, the way you’re removing make up, etc, etc?

Lack of protein causes dark circles around the eyes

I’ve put mine down to it just being very thin skin under my eyes, almost see translucent.
The only thing I see that seems to work for this is tear trough fillers. I looked into it because I was so annoyed by them but when I saw the size of the needle I immediately made my peace with my under eye circles!!
